As a student (Independent) I am eligible for the American Opportunity Tax Credit. Turbotax doesn't include it. My 1098-T Box 5 exceeds Box 1. Am I still eligible?

I am filing independently as a Student. I did not make over the standard deduction amount for the year but still paid in money, and recieved this same credit last year with no problem.
