Q. Is there a place where I can enter that taxable income manually?
A. Yes, in the download versions of TT. No, in the online versions.
"Deluxe" comes in both online and download.
Q. It's not flowing through to income from just entering the 1098-T. (using Deluxe).
A. Yes, it does. You doing something wrong. Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary". Click delete next to the student's name. You'll then get the "Your Education Expenses Summary" screen again. Click the "Add a student" button. Re-enter the 1098-T.
Alternate (Desktop Only):
In TurboTax (TT), enter at:
- Federal Taxes tab (Personal in Home & Business)
- Wages & Income
Scroll down to:
-Less Common Income
-Click "Visit All". You'll eventually reach a screen to enter the manually calculated scholarship amount.
