There are a couple of options but I think entering it as a negative income with a description makes the most sense if the IRS decides to look at the return. Follow these steps:
- go to the federal income section
- scroll to the bottom
- Select Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C, Start
- Scroll to the bottom
- Select Other reportable income, Start
- Other taxable income?
- Select YES
- Description -something like - nontaxable health insurance included in income
- Amount, enter your amount as a negative
- continue
