Yes you may qualify for an exception. One of the requirements for the lifetime learning Credit is that classes that lead to a certificate program will qualify for the credit. I have included a screenshot on what the exceptions should look like below.
As Hal_Al has mentioned above, the school does need to be approved by the Dept of Education. When you fill out the school information, it will need to have an address and EIN ( Filers Federal ID No). You may find it in the sources that Hal listed or you may need to go to the school's website to retrieve that information.
