In 2018, the old dependent exemption (approx $4000 deduction from income) was replaced with a $500 other dependent tax credit (for dependents who did not qualify for the child tax credit).
You still enter your dependents, in TurboTax, as you have in the past. The $500 credit is automatic, if your dependent qualifies.
