Education
Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary". Click edit next to the student's name. That should take you to a screen “Here’s your Education Summary”. Click edit next to “Education Information”. When you get to the screen titled “Amount Used to Calculate Education Deduction or Credit”, verify the amount you want to use or change it. For undergrads, you use $4000, to claim the tuition credit. You may reach that screen sooner.
Based on your numbers, about $4406 of her scholarship will be taxable, unless you have additional expenses like books and a required computer. If her scholarship is "restricted" to only being used for tuition, you may not be able to "shift" tuition $ from scholarship to the tuition credit.
