If your parent is claiming the tuition credit ("parent is using that form") why are you even entering ed expenses? Only one of you can claim a credit, and that is almost always the parent.

The 1098-T is only an informational document. The numbers on it are not required to be entered onto your tax return. However receipt of a 1098-T frequently means you (or your parents) are either eligible for a tuition credit or possibly you have taxable scholarship income.  So, if it's both, than you can both use the 1098-T to enter your info. But, you may have to adjust your numbers, for what they use.
