@bluedeb Agreed, the OP's question was answered. But it was not clear WHY he was asking that question; so I am asking for the question behind the question as that may be more beneficial to the OP..
Not clear whether the root of the question was whether the OP is attempting to claim the son as a dependent ("full time student" / age ) or simply attempting to understand whether the expenses qualify for AOTC (only require 'at least half time')....or something else......
