Yes, you just delete him completely.
There is a way to leave him, in there, so he'll pop up next year, but that just risks making mistakes. It's easy enough to re-enter his info, next year, if he becomes your dependent again.
"Nondependent/for EIC/dependent care only" is not correct, in your case. It's for when the student/child lives with you (the custodial parent) but the other (non custodial) parent is claiming him as a dependent.
