NIH T32 fellowship income
I have T32 postdoctoral grant and NIH pays my institution total of $100K, of which $60K goes to my stipend and $40K towards my insurance. I received 1099MISC with total of $100K in box 3, which includes 40K that my employer received to cover my insurance premiums. I called my employer and they essentially said they sent correct form and I'll need to figure out how to report insurance portion on my tax return as tax exempt. If don't enter the insurance as tax exempt portion of my 1099MISC income, I end up owing quite a bit. Any ideas where to report this?
