@TWJ4899 Your daughter would not need to report the scholarship income reported on her 1098-T form unless it was more than the tuition and books/fees expenses. In other words, if she had income because her scholarship money wasn't used for her education expenses. Also, the amount of income would have to be more than the minimum necessary to be required to file a tax return. She can use this IRS tool to see if she needs to file a tax return:
