This is a financial aid related question:
I'm 19 and will be living on my own for next tax-year while a full-time student. I will not be able to receive almost any financial aid as my EFC is extremely high on the FASFA. I am almost completely cut off from him as I have lived with my mother my whole life, but I have to use his tax return on the 2022 FASFA because I stayed with him for the majority of this year while not providing anything substantial for myself. Is there any alternative/way to receive financial aid that isn't based on my parent's tax return? And since I will be fully providing for myself for the 2022 tax-year will I be able to claim myself as an independent?
