Yes, you could indicate 'this is not the amount I paid to the school' to adjust the Box 1 amount on your 1098-T so that the Box 5 amount is not larger than the Box 1 amount.
However, since all her tuition was covered by her grants, you don't need to enter the 1098-T in your return at all, since you would not qualify for an Education Credit.
