A person only files one tax return for all his income. The W-2 incomes goes on line 1 of form 1040. There are different lines for other types of income. 1099 income for working is considered self employment and goes on Schedule C. You need to use the Self Employment version of TurboTax online (Home and Business if you use the down load/CD version).
The fact that you physically do your work, for the TX company, in UT, means it is considered UT source income and taxable by UT. You file only a UT return. TX does not have an income tax. But even if the company were located in a state with an income tax, you would still file only a UT return.
The fact that some of your income comes from a state without an income tax does not get you out of paying state tax to your home state on that income.
