Received two 1098Ts for study abroad
My daughter attends University S and studied abroad in the fall of 2019 at University W. University S and University W have a cooperative agreement regarding scholarships. Both are approved educational institutions. We claim her as a dependent on our taxes. My daughters scholarships at University S covered part of her tuition and we paid the rest. Her scholarships at University S transferred to University W for her study abroad. In addition, she applied for and received a study abroad travel award for $1000 from University W that only applied to her flights. This spring we received two 1098Ts. The 1098T from University S included all of the scholarships and payments that we received/made in 2019. We then received a 1098T from University W with the transferred scholarship and payment amounts they received from University S. We did not pay University W any money. All of our bills were from University S. Do we enter both 1098Ts? How do we adjust those amounts in TurboTax? Also, my daughter worked and paid taxes in 2019 (less than $12,000) and would like to file to receive any refund. How does she account for the $1000 travel award from University W?
