Go into Expenses and Scholarship 1098-T section of the program.  To enter Qualified Expenses:

Name of school, continue

Did you get a 1098-T, No

Do you qualify for an exception and so on.

Fill in education expenses regarding books and materials. Go through the scholarship section

 

 

Qualified Expenses come from a Qualified Institution defined by the IRS as:

 

An eligible educational institution is a school offering higher education beyond high school. It is any college, university, trade school, or other post secondary educational institution eligible to participate in a student aid program run by the U.S. Department of Education.
