Education

I was having a similar issue. I wasn't able to enter my son's 1098-T info, it kept skipping to expenses.

To fix my specific issue I had to answer NO to the question "Did (name) attend (school) in 2019". It was defaulting to YES, and I kept it at YES because he did still attend that school. But then I was never asked to enter 1098-T information.

Once I answered NO, he didn't attend that school, I was then asked to name his school, and then was asked if he got a 1098-T, and finally I was able to enter the 1098-T.

This caused issues on both my return and his return. I wasn't able to get certain education credits because I was never able to enter the school's federal ID number...that is until I figured out a work around....that I shouldn't have had to figure out!
