1099Q and 1098T question
I have about 22k in qualified educational expenses for my child this year. My 1099Q shows a distribution of about 11k, but my 1098T only shows payment of 6k (tuition).
The problem I face is that the difference between the 1099Q and 1098T is being taxed, and I can't seem to get credit for the difference because I'm being told by Turbotax that my income is too high to qualify for educational credits. There must be a way to resolve this, no?
