technically, as I responded on a duplicate post. the earned income of $6400 is LESS THAN the standard deduction of $6750. the standard deduction for a dependent is the earned income + $350.
the reason to file is to get back the $445 of withholdings.
Had there been no withholdings, there would be no reporting requirement.
