Did you change it yourself?
I had 2 students & paid 6k against my parent loan . The Dept of Education put all but $139 on 1 of the 2 1098-T forms. When I paid it , I made it clear that I was giving half to each student 6k each .
I still haven't mailed it.
My idea is add both $ amounts and divide by 2 , include a copy of both & a sticky note letting "them" know of their mistake & my correction.
I'd like to hear anyone else's opinion on what I haven't done yet , but am contemplating.
