School did not give me a 1098-T form for 2017 because I only did the spring 2017 semester, which they said was included in 2016 1098-T form (but box 7 was not checked).
So I talked to my school and they said that since I only did the spring semester in 2017 and then graduated, they had billed that term in the 2016 1098-T form, however the box 7 in 1098-T from 2016 was NOT checked. So what the school said is that I am not eligible to receive a 1098-T form for the year 2017. So when I file the taxes, should I say that I didn't receive a 1098-T form but still claim the money? Or should I skip the section completely that I went to school in 2017 at all?
Thanks.
Thanks.
