Can I move credit on a 2016 1098-T form to 2017, the credit was in Spring of 2017. I would like to move the credits is because the max deduction is $10000 per year.
My wife's 2016 1098-T form was $12290 in box 2. Our 2017 1098-T was $5035 in box 2. Can I move $2290 from spring 2017 on the 2016 1098-T form to 2017 tax credits. Since max credit is 10,000 per year.
