To enter your 1098-E, Student Loan Interest, in TurboTax, please take the steps below.
- Sign into TurboTax Online
- Start your return if you have not yet or continue your return by click Taxes > Tax Timeline > Take me to my return.
- Click on the Federal Taxes tab > Deductions & Credits sub-tab
- Click to show all tax breaks
- Scroll down until you see Education and click Show More.
- Click Start next to Student Loan Interest Paid (Form 1098-E)
- Proceed to enter in your 1098-E
