You don't have to but you may want to report interest from student loan since the student loan interest deduction is not part of your itemized deductions... it is a completely separate deduction that reduces your Adjusted Gross Income; it may be to your benefit to report it. 

Student loan interest is deducted as follows:

  1. Federal Taxes
  2. Deductions & Credits
  3. Education
  4. Select Student Loan Interest Paid (Form 1098-E)

As to your second question, here's data entry for form SSA-1099:

  1. Federal Taxes       
  2. Wages and Income
  3. Scroll down to the Retirement Plans and Social Security
  4. Select Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099)
