If your Box 5 is larger than your Box 1 on your 1098-T, you are not eligible for an Education Credit and in fact, don't need to enter your 1098-T in your return, or any Education Expenses.
Normally, the excess scholarship amount in Box 5 would be taxable income to you, but since you are on the GI Bill, it is not taxable income.
