Specifically: "But amounts you paid in 2016 for classes that began in 2015 cannot be used for the credit at all, in any year." doesn't make sense. Why would paying for my fall classes in January (right after the fall semester) as per my payment plan make them completely ineligible for the tax credit? That doesn't make any sense.
