The circuit breaker tax credit is a service that helps seniors and persons with disabilities apply for property tax credits or rent rebates. To be eligible for the credit, you must meet the following requirements:
- 65 years of age or older or
- a person 18-64 who receives SSI, SSD, or Veterans Disability, or
- 60 and older and receiving Surviving Spouse benefits from SSA
You will enter the MO-PTS following the same steps as above:
- Click State Returns
- Click Edit Next to Missouri
- Click Property Tax Credit to enter the renter's credit
As a reminder, form 5674 is a form that will be filled out by your landlord and is not attached to your return. The form will need to be completed by the landlord and mailed to the following address:
