The amount on line 9 of Schedule A is the amount of investment interest allowed on Form 4952. Your deduction may have been limited on Form 4952.
If you entered your interest directly, this is how you edit it:
- Select Federal from the left side menu.
- Select Deductions and Credits toward the upper left.
- Expand the list and scroll down to Retirement and Investments.
- Expand the section and click Start or Revisit to the right of Investment Interest Expenses.
- Answer the first question Yes.
- If you entered your information directly, it will show on the next screen and you can edit it there.
If you have K-1 forms for investments, some of your investment interest may have flowed form them.
