Can I get Schedule A to have digits "next to the line 11 entry space"?
Line 43 of the Charitable Deduction Limits Worksheet says:
Add lines 10, 14, 21, 27 and 36. Enter the total here and include the
deductible amounts on Schedule A (Form 1040), line 11 or line 12 whichever is
appropriate. Also, enter the amount from line 41 on the dotted line next to
the line 11 entry space
IRS Publication 526 imposes a similar mandate (search for the word "dotted"). In my return, however, the dotted line next to line 11 is blank. The entry space for line 11 contains the sum of worksheet lines 10 and 41, but it must exclude the amount from line 41. How can I get this fixed? My total cash gifts are less than 60% of AGI, but the total of my cash and non-cash gifts exceeds 50% of AGI. TurboTax folks can use token number 945726 to examine the details.
