I had someone steal a lot of my belongings from my house last October. For example, my class ring and other jewelry was stolen. How do I claim that for a deduction?
Someone stole belongings including jewelry, clothes, my television, et cetera and I never got those items back. I saw that under the deductions page there's something about theft and natural disasters so I thought I would fill it out there, but I don't know if it's the right spot because the theft wasn't necessarily a result of the disaster (COVID-19). What should I do? Or is this not even worth pursuing?
