If you are "in the business" of  residential rentals as a primary, actively involved source of income, then you could report on Schedule C. However, any reporting on Schedule C will be subject to self-employment tax (FICA).

You should really only report on Schedule C if you provide substantial services that are primarily for your tenant's convenience(cleaning, maid service, etc.). Rentals generally belong on Schedule E.
