Use IRS Form 1099-INT to report interest income, tax-exempt interest and other forms of interest income.  What version of TurboTax are you using?  Please clarify.

Enter the 1099 information as follows.

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
  • Across the top of the screen, click on Your Income.
  • At the screen Your Income, scroll down to Interest and Dividends.  Click Show more.
  • Choose Interest on 1099-INT or Dividends on 1999-DIV by clicking Start / Revisit to the right.

Did you receive a 1099-DIV or 1099-INT form this year? If so, you may need to file a Schedule B with your tax return.
