It is a known issue and is being worked on. If you are experiencing this issue, please sign up here for email updates as we are working on the issue. E-filed returns won't start being accepted and processed until Feb 12th. If you use the sign-up link, you will be notified when it has been resolved and then you will be able to submit the return. In the meantime, you can get all of your business expenses reported to ensure you are not over-paying any tax.
If it's directly related to the work you do, you can deduct it as an expense. Work-related expenses reduce your taxes by lowering the amount of self-employment income you get taxed on. For example, if you made $50,000 in self-employment income and had $5,000 out-of-pocket expenses, you'd only get taxed on $45,000.
