Go back to the Schedule C entries and step through each section of expenses to try to find your error.

 

If you do not have any information carried over to your 2019 Schedule C from your 2018 return, you can delete the Schedule C and start again.  This would not be a good idea if you are depreciating assets or had any other carryovers from 2018.  

 

Use the following steps to go back to the Schedule C section to either edit your entries or delete the Schedule C:

  • On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
  • This opens a box where you can type in “schedule c” (be sure to enter exactly as shown here) and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
  • The search results will give you an option to “Jump to schedule c
  • Click on the blue “Jump to schedule c” link

From here, either choose Edit or Delete beside the business name.
