Self-Employed Home Office and Solar Loan

My wife is self-employed and we installed solar panels on our house a couple of years ago.  We never depreciated the solar assets to the house for the home office (our tax preparer did do that for the first couple of years that my wife was self-employed) or deducted the solar loan expense.

Can I deduct the solar loan as a utility expense for the home office expenses?
