Business & farm
If you are a multi-member LLC, you will need to use TurboTax Business, but if you are a single member LLC, the Self-Employed version that you are using will work for you. Assuming you are a single member LLC, your EIN is entered under your business profile.
Sign in to your account. Click on 'Take Me to My Return'. Type in 'schedule c' into the search box, then click on the 'Jump to schedule c' link. Enter select Edit if you have already set up your business, or create a new line of work, Schedule C. Go through the business set-up screens until you come to the screen that asks ''Tell us if you have any of these less common situations''. Check the box that says, I have an EIN. You will enter the EIN here.
If you have a Business tab at the top, you can find your profile by click on:
- Business tab
- Subtab "Business Income and Expenses"
- "I'll choose what to work on."
- On the screen "Let's Gather Your Business Info", choose "Business Income and Expenses", and click UPDATE.
- The next screen is a summary screen. Click EDIT on the line for your business.
- On the next screen, the first category is Business Profile. Click UPDATE
- Click Edit next to Employer ID number, and enter it here
