Using Turbotax online, you can't access a PDF or your tax data file until you pay for the program. Paying is normally the last step before filing, but you can pay and then go back to work on your return without filing yet.
Then you can download or print your tax return, or "all forms and worksheets" which includes the tax return and most of Turbotax's internal calculations. Or you can download the tax data file, although the only way to open it is on a computer that has turbotax installed directly on the computer.

- Sign in to your return (past the Take me to my return button).
(Then, Upgrade in the left-hand menu if you haven’t already done so.)
- Select File in the left-hand menu and continue until you get to Review your order.
- Select Start and follow the on-screen instructions to pay for the product you have chosen.
