If you are receiving an EIN issue, it could be caused by a couple of things. Here are some things to know:
- An EIN and TIN are the same thing. The number belongs to the issuer of the form.
- An EIN/ TIN and SSN are the same number of digits
- Your SSN is there as the recipient.
- If you have no tax withheld, the box should be blank, not zero.
