To claim the Renter's Credit, go over your Minnesota return entries:
- When you start your Minnesota return, one of the first questions is about your living situation.
- Continue the questions until you get to the Other Minnesota Credits screen, select the Renter's Credit
- In the next screen make sure that you meet all the requirements for the credit and if you do, select Yes
- Select Yes to enter your Certificate of Rent Paid
- Enter your certificate information on the certificate of rent paid worksheet, make sure to scroll down and complete everything.
