After speaking with a TurboTax customer service rep and after trying various potential solutions, the problem was solved by going through the federal review process and opening the affected K-1 document with the red exclamation point. Below the box 20 with the Z Section 199A line there is a notation that hints with a Quick Link to open the K-1 document further. By clicking on the Quick Link, it takes you to the portion of the document that also says Statement A with lines that have similar names as noted on the original K-1 document but had no amount associated with the line descriptions. I inserted the amounts as listed on the original K-1 form in the amount cells including the Section 199A line item and wha-la, the exclamation mark disappeared, and the file passed the federal review. This solution pertains to problems where the issuer of the K-1 is not required to provide a Statement A. However, TurboTax did not indicate this Statement A is required for their computations to work properly. This is a problem that TurboTax needs to fix as it has been around since 2021. It has caused me hours and hours of trying to correct the TurboTax problem until I experimented with the added inputs. Shame on TurboTax.
