I wanted to know specifically which line from 2021 form 941-X was used to reduce wages on form 1120-X or amended 1120-S for the ERC. The only lines with values on my 941-X forms are 18a, 23, 26a, 27 & 30.
I asked perplexity deep research and was told to use line 26a.
I asked ChatGPT and was told to use line 18a. When I responded that they were wrong, ChatGPT changed their answer to lines 30 & 31.
I am quite certain the answer is line 27, but I wanted to make sure.
