To file Form 568 (California LLC Return of Income) in TurboTax your will need TurboTax for Business or TurboTax Desktop Home and Business. to prepare and e-file Form 568.
Option 1
In TurboTax Home and Business Desktop, you can access the form and complete using the steps below
- Go to Forms mode by clicking the button at the top right (top left in Mac),
- Then click Open Form and entering "568
- Follow the instructions at this link to complete the form.
Option 2
To enter Form 568 in TurboTax Home and Business Desktop, follow these steps:
- Open your return and click on State Taxes.
- On the California Taxes page, click Edit beside Income and adjustments.
- Under Business, click Start/Revisit beside Business Profit or Loss Adjustment.
- Click Edit beside the business you need to report on Form 568.
- Click "yes" that this business is owned by a Single Member LLC.
- Continue after reading the Form 568 information.
- A sub-form will appear.
- If you're using another TurboTax product, you can complete and mail Form 568 separately from your California tax return,
