I would try the install and then the repair. I think it's the TT install that is bringing with it a bad C++ version. I had it fixed, then TT updated, and after using it for a couple of hours, closed the program and it didn't open the next time I tried to use it. So, I went back, did the repair again, and it is running -probably until the next TT update....
As a TT user for decades, I'm shocked that this problem is occurring, is reported here, and has not been fixed by Intuit. But times have changed. Makes me wonder if it's time to switch tax software. This situation is really a sign of pathetically bad support.
