Business & farm
I am 50, married filing separately because my spouse and I no longer live together and do not plan on doing so again. So far, for 2024 on both platforms combined, I have earned $5,728.91. My expected income for this type of employment is going to be $12,000 or under. This is because I do not plan on doing this permanently. I have a new job I will be starting in 3 weeks that will have taxes automatically deducted, therefore I will not be doing the independent contractor work anymore. It takes double the time to earn what someone at a traditional type of employment would earn, and isn't worth continuing doing for the long run. That said, what would you advise for this particular situation? I will be a couple thousand under the threshold.
Thank you
