This should solve your issue. Don't worry, it's your employer's fault. Just follow steps 1 and 2 below.

On your W-2, only enter the values in the boxes that have values, some combine the two lines BUT LEAVE OUT THE FLI (Ignore it for now).

Some employers put New Jersey Family Leave Insurance in the wrong box, for example 15 or 17.

  1. To ensure correct calculations, always enter New Jersey Family Leave Insurance in Box 14even if your W-2 form shows it in a different box. Simply type NJ FLI TAX as the Box 14 description, then enter the Amount.
  2. On the Let's Review Your Box 14 screen, select NJ FLI tax from the drop-down and continue.
