Business & farm
If this is income for your self-employed business, enter Form 1099-NEC under the related Schedule C business (as described by CatinaT1 above) instead of under the 1099-NEC topic. This avoids the farm income question. Be sure to delete the 1099-NEC that you entered under the Other Common Income topic first.
If this is not self-employment income, enter Form 1099-NEC under the Other Common Income topic. After you enter the amount, the next screen will provide "uncommon situations" for this income. Check the box for "This is not money earned as an employee or self-employed individual, it is from a sporadic activity or hobby."
The last option avoids the need for self-employment/farm schedules and will report the income on Schedule 1 Line 8z Other Income. The total from Schedule 1 Line 10 flows to Form 1040 Line 8 as ordinary income.
