This is the workaround I used in TurboTax Home and Business 2022:
- Go to Forms: 1040/1040 SR Wks.
- Below line 23, in Other Adjustments to Income Smart Worksheet box, enter description and amount in the two fields on line G. The amount will auto-flow to Worksheet line 25 and be included in Worksheet line 26. Worksheet line 26 will auto-flow to Schedule 1, line 26.
- For line 24z on the Worksheet, there are five fields in two rows and three columns. Enter description and amount in the fields on the first row (first and second columns). The amount will auto-flow to line 24z (second row, third column).
- Go to Forms: Schedule 1. For line 24z, enter description and amount in the fields on the first row (first and second columns). Re-enter amount on the second row in the third column. Re-enter the amount on line 25.
