Deductions & credits

It depends. If you don't intend to continue farming as a business, then you should report that you stopped farming. This will allow TurboTax to file a final Schedule F to let the IRS know the business has been closed.

However, if you simply took a year off and intend to farm for a profit in the future, you can report little or no income and/or expenses this year. When you have an active farm business in the future, your farm history will still be in TurboTax.
