Thank you - I see I wasn't accurate/clear in my question. TT generated line 20a shows the gross SSA payment. 20b shows 85% of that. I was mistakenly thinking the reduction was due to the premium deductions. p.s. The HSA distribution was in 2017 (Dec) so no complication there. Also medical expense were way below 7.5% of AGI.
