Deductions & credits
This is a bit of a bummer, I am estimating my tax at around $6000 based on my income and looking at last year's tax table. This means my residential energy credit of $6534 will cover everything and I won't need to use my child tax credit (which would be $4000) and actually ends up devaluing the residential energy credit that I was hoping I could spread over 3 years... Am I understanding correctly? Other responses here indicate the opposite though and seem like the one from TurboTax Phillip below, any further thoughts?
